The build
The homeowners entertain constantly and were tired of the cook disappearing indoors. The L-shape gave them a full cooking leg and a separate serving leg without eating the whole patio.
Steel-stud framing on a frost-depth footing, cement board, and natural stone veneer matched to the patio. Leathered granite tops, a 36-inch built-in stainless grill, outdoor-rated refrigeration, and sealed storage drawers.
Everything is built for a hard freeze: low-point drain on the water line, accessible shutoff, freeze-thaw rated counters, and refrigeration that pulls for the season. We walked the family through the November shutdown at handover.
